Continuing and sustainable growth…
Swindon and Wiltshire are at the heart of a thriving and growing Life Sciences network in central southern England and are home to a range of leading companies including QinetiQ, Patheon, Tintometer, Nanosight and major public sector organisations such as Public Health England (PHE) and the Defence Science and Technology Laboratory (Dstl).
Investment Opportunities at Porton Science Park
Porton Science Park (PSP) is a unique opportunity where the state-of-the art, 10 hectare Health, Life Sciences and R&D campus benefits from close links at Porton Down Science Campus with:
United Kingdom Health Security Agency (UKHSA) – an executive agency that prevents, prepares for and responds to infectious diseases and environmental hazards to keep the public safe.
Defence Science and Technology Laboratory (Dstl) – is the science inside UK defence and security. A proven national asset, Dstl is an executive agency of the Ministry of Defence (MOD) providing world class expertise and delivering cutting-edge science and technology for the benefit of the nation and allies.
Porton Biopharma Ltd – established in 2015 to commercialise the pharmaceutical development and manufacturing capabilities at Porton Down.
PSP’s development progressed with Phase 1, The Beech-Allen (Building A) which opened in January 2018.
Phase 1 now comprises a second premises – The Lyle (Building B) – and aims is to support the growth of innovative, sustainable businesses by providing quality labs and office space for companies involved in Health, Life Sciences R & D related activities and support services that will benefit both the business and research communities.
Phase 1 includes 7,800 m2 of incubation and innovation space with further grow-on space for companies at more advanced stages of development.
Phase 2 offers the remaining 9.5 hectares of allocated land for development, which will be well-suited for established companies seeking direct association with the Porton Down’s scientific community and the surrounding cluster of Life Sciences excellence in Wiltshire.
